ELT well discussion day
Teaching ESOL ‘Beginners’
Teaching students at a low proficiency level presents teachers with some particular challenges, such as how to get started and how to assess the learners’ needs, as well as issues of literacy development, and - for some - citizenship.
If you are involved in teaching English to beginners, come along and share your experience on these issues with like-minded colleagues. Practitioners with expertise in these areas will provide input and lead our discussions.
This discussion day will be held
on Friday 16th April 2010,
at the Penny Street Bridge Hotel in Lancaster
from 10am to 5pm (coffee will be available from 9.30).
There will be a charge of £20 per person to cover costs, including all refreshments and lunch.
For more information, and to reserve your place, please contact:
Anne Margaret Smith: 0779 202 1127
or Tania Horak: Tania.horak@hotmail.com.

Places are limited so please book as soon as possible; the final deadline for bookings is April 9th.
As we are sure there will be lots of issues raised during the day, we are proposing to stay and continue the discussion informally over an evening meal at the hotel. If you would like to join us, please let us know so that we can reserve a big enough table. (Please note - this is not included in the cost of the day.)
